Set Up Shop

Gracie had just moved to the quiet town Sunnydale. She had left Chicago to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. If the people knew how she had thrown a dart at a map to guide her where to go, they would laugh. She laughed when she saw the name. Once she got to town and saw it had one stop light and about 2 miles of Main Street she laughed even harder.
As she set up her shop and looked out the window to see what is going on outside. She watched as people walked up and down the street and pointed to her shop. She knew they wanted to know who the stranger was that had come to town. She came in the middle of the night and had bought the place out right with help from the Real Estate agency in Chicago. The shop was a quaint little building with an apartment upstairs. She had a small balcony upstairs and a wrap around porch on the main floor.
She noticed a man who stopped across the street to stair at her shop and tipped his hat to her when he saw her staring out the window. She waved back. She noted he wore jeans and boots. His sandy hair was covered by his hat. She shook her head as she walked away looking at the room around her. She had planned on opening a small bookstore in this town; however after looking around she was not sure how well that would be in this town. It seemed that the town's people did not seem to like new comers.
Glancing at the book shelves on the wall she grabbed a dust rag and began to wipe them down only to be surprised once they were clean how they gleamed of the deep rich cherry maple color. The room brightened up as she continues to dust them. Her books had not shown up yet and were due any day. She had not stepped out of the building since she arrived the last 2 weeks. She had brought her food with her when she came. Enough to last 3 weeks.
