Authors Note
Dear John,
While this story highlights the bias against one set of victims it is not intended to detract, in any way, from the many genuine cases of child abuse; their voice must continue to be heard.
Having witnessed several real world examples of innocent parents being victimized I began research and finally committed my time to writing `She gets me.' My hope is to demonstrate a variety of social monsters in a world, which till recently, saw the topic in black and white.
Regards,
Leon Gower.

Even with years of experience anticipating the suspect's moment of surrender, Ross and Marcus still felt a rush in the final breakthrough. They locked eyes on each other and shared a quick nod then turned back to the warn-out single father.
They watched as Stanley opened his mouth. "Okay. I did it." With the words out, he leaned forward. So much weight lifted from his shoulders he nearly collapsed to the floor. With those three words, he'd ended the torment.
"I did it. I did it, I did it. I just, I just did it. Okay, I did it." Stanley began muttering his confession over and over.
Marcus's hand remained on Stan's shoulder. "That's it, let it out. Feels better doesn't it."
