Three circumstances that I've not addressed explicitly:

1. While this book is oriented around marriages per se, many chapters apply to ending committed relationships not formalized in the eyes of the law.
2. I discuss the challenges associated with deciding to end a marriage. I recognize that in many instances one partner has made that decision, while the other can only comply. However, the balance of the book can be useful nonetheless.
3. Many couples ending a committed relationship don't have children.
