Tom had it all. Rugged, good looks, a beautiful, faithful girlfriend, and a whole world of possibilities before him. Done with school, all anyone wants to talk about is the future: College, marriage, family.

But Tom has a secret.

While he loves Lori Beth, he's not attracted to her. Not in the way he should. That's the kind of feeling he has only for his best friend, Mike.

As he moves forward with Lori Beth, he can't keep his mind off of what could be, if only he was bold enough to tell his best friend how he felt.

Fate lends a hand late one hot summer night. Unable to sleep in the oppressive heat, Mike shows up outside his window:

"Hey," he whispered quite loudly through Tom's open window. "You up?" Mike said he had a hankering to swim at the public pool over in Ottenville. Tom slipped into my shirt and shorts in the darkness and grabbed a towel.

But Mike has other ideas. He wants to go skinny dipping. Tom tries to resist, but damn it's hot!
