A story of a child and her love of animals, in this case, a white rabbit. Though this story takes place in north Texas, similar situations exist all over the world within families wherein a child wants a warm furry animal. The story is about the Dad being reminded of his white rabbit he had when he was a child in St. Louis. The Dad is this story had lost his rabbit suddenly and the loss caused sorrow for many years. The story is in a way and path toward fulfillment of the loss by bringing another rabbit into the family. Learning about rabbits needs and necessities took some work, but it is a gradual learning process which is rewarding.
