Little Margaret Rikli is too excited to sleep, thinking about seeing all her aunts and uncles and cousins the next day at the Rikli Family Reunion. With a cup of warm milk from Grandmother, Margaret climbs up on Grandfather's lap to hear the story of why the Riklis gather for reunions, to remember and cherish their family.
The story begins with Grandfather telling Margaret about her great-great-great grandfather, Arnold Rikli, and his parents, Abraham Friedrich and Verena Rikli, who lived in Wangen an der Arre, a small community in Switzerland where the Riklis had lived for over 500 years. Abraham and Verena raised Arnold along with his 10 siblings in a family filled with faith and love.
To learn more about how Arnold grew up to became famous for his healing methods, and how his son Arthur travelled to America to begin a new life with his wife Margaretta and their 12 children, read "Stars in the Sky: The Story of the Rikli Family." You just might find yourself amongst the stars!
