"This is the deal," Quinn spoke softly. "We won't steal from each other, and there will be no more killing."
"Where's the fun in that?" Someone mumbled.
Akeem sighed, "Like it or not we have to work together to get out of this mess."
"What makes you think we're going to listen to you?" Jara snapped.
Before Akeem could answer, Doc stepped forward, so angry he was shaking, "It is time to stop this senseless fighting. I have had enough of the killing and far too much of fixing you all up to send you back out to war. No more. We will work together, or I will poison your water, your food, and the very air you breathe. I do not care if you are Angel or Dog, you will be dead, and I will be at peace," His voice reached a crescendo that echoed through the cavern. "Do not make me do it," he turned his back and stormed off.
Aly whispered to Quinn, "Can he do that?"
"Do you want to find out?"
The vendetta between Pox and Thaniel intensifies, and the death toll in Fif15teen reaches record highs. Staying alive becomes more challenging for Quinn and Akeem, and the arrival of Quinn's little sister Aly raises the stakes even higher. When the trio is forced into hiding with an unwilling group of Angels and Dogs, they must find a way to get mortal enemies to work together to escape Fif15teen before they are hunted down and punished for their crimes.
