Deborah Eker has had a lifelong struggle with obsessive compulsive disorder. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a psychiatric condition in which the person has difficulty thinking logically and is not always able to make rational decisions. The person may engage in behaviours such as continual checking, repeating, talking, etc. Also involved is fear, worrying, and anxiety. In this memoir Deborah describes growing up with OCD as a child, coping with it as an adult, and how she was diagnosed, her symptoms, and her treatment.
