Stop Bullying

This book discusses a multi-thronged approach to bullying prevention. The intent is to describe in detail a wide variety of methods and strategies proven successful to reducing or even eliminating bullying in schools. Principals learn how to hold successful bully prevention meetings with school personnel and student leaders. Teachers are provided with a wide number of creative exercises to help students reflect on bullying. Teachers are also presented with techniques to manage bullying episodes in the classroom and the playground. Counsellors learn how to impart conflict management skills to large groups of students, and parents learn how to role-play a number of scenarios with their children to assist them in potentially difficult social situations. A special chapter is written for students: targets learn how to interact with bullies and bystanders learn how to take action.
