A lovely and endearing young adult romantic comedy about two friends who decide to pursue summer romance the way it's shown in moviesand who, along the way, discover love when they least expect it!Hayley has a crush on someone all the time. Her crushes never like her back, which is the problem. She declares she's over falling for unavailable ladies after her most recent unfulfilled lovea girl from her basketball teamgets a boyfriend. Talia, her best friend, is tired of seeing Hayley repeatedly break her heart even though she too desires romance but hardly ever has crushes on anyone. The two girls decide that by placing themselves in scenarios that typically result in romance in movies, they will help each other find summertime love.They create a list of all the locations they could find their real-life summer love plan, including the beach, the Pride march, the pool, a MUNA concert, and a party. But when they visit each location in an attempt to locate the right one, it appears as though they are stuck in a rutthey are unable to strike up a conversation with cute strangers, Hayley gets mistaken for being straight, and Hayley makes a very bad DIY haircut (for which she cannot be held accountableit was a crisis!). Will Hayley and Talia be able to overcome their obstacles and truly embark on the romances they deserve once they are able to go on dates? Is love for summer not as far off as Hayley thought?
