I work hard, for the den of thieves and make an initial delivery on software that the company needs for a government contract delivery. One of my coworkers is Lulu. I am a high output guy and I produce enough code to cover Lulu, who can't really program computers. Lulu does have a couple of really good points.
After the initial software delivery, Lulu and I are called into a meeting with a government customer guy. The government guy tells us, "You got the first phase software delivered. However, neither of you has formal training in the computer language used. You are going to need to have a training class."
I ask government customer guy, "How do you think that we got the first phase done?"
The government customer guy says, "I can't tell you that, but my bosses want some formal classes. You and the girl are going to a training class in San Francisco."
(I am hardly the worlds most sensitive guy, but you don't catch me referring to a lady as, 'the girl.' However the government customer guy represents those with the gold. Under the golden rule, those who have the gold, make the rules.)
Lulu then negotiates our per diem pay and our San Francisco rooms.
(From the negotiations, I get the impression that Lulu has quite a bit of experience in the negotiation of hotel rooms.)
Lulu then gets us manager per diem rates and our San Francisco rooms in the Chancellor Hotel, on Powell Street.
Lulu and I then leave the government customer guy and walk out to my car.
Lulu lectures, me, "We are going to a training class in San Francisco. The government is paying the freight. I got us a deal."
I reply, "Just from the negotiations, I saw that. Thank you."
Lulu looks at me, "Okay, the company is actually bankrupt."
I reply, "I know that."
Lulu looks hard at me, "Okay, the lettered stock that you are being paid is worthless."
I reply, "I know what you are saying. However, I have found a way and a place to sell the supposedly worthless shares."
Lulu again looks hard at me, "Okay, they tell me that you are pretty smart."
I sigh and reply, "I am much smarter than you, as far as programming computers. However, you are much smarter than I am, as far as negotiating trip arrangements goes."
Lulu sighs, "Okay, do you know why I got good at negotiating trip arrangements?"
I reply, "Yes. You work as Lulu. You use your appearance and the experience that your appearance has gotten you. You won't always have the same appearance. In my opinion, you need to develop some additional job skills."
Lulu again looks hard at me, "Okay, what kind of job skills?"
I reply, "You work as Lulu. You use just Lulu. You will never be a computer programmer. How about Lulu, trip planner?"
Lulu thinks for a bit, "How does that help me?"
I reply, "You work as an, oh, travel clerk. You learn about booking airplanes, trains, ships. You learn about working with resorts for room arrangements. Then, you start to sell, oh, recruiting trips. You see that an executive that a company wants to hire gets a fun trip with a girl who will say yes. You train up a staff of young girls, who will say yes. You know girls. You have a blonde, black hair, red hair girl. You have a Mexican girl, a Negro girl, a beach girl, a city girl, a country girl."
Lulu sneers, "You want me to run a whore house?"
I reply, "No. A whorehouse is maybe $100 for a screw. You need to provide arm candy that works on a tropical beach, an art festival, a fiesta, whatever."
Lulu sighs, "Okay, I had to screw to get this job. This job won't last much longer, then what?"
I lecture, "Right now, it's like a job desert in San Diego. I got laid off, when I finished a successful project and I took this current job, as a lifeboat, until something better maybe comes along. Maybe you should consider a lifeboat, until something better maybe comes along. Maybe a lifeboat in San Francis
