It is used in the New Testament to describe an entrapment used by the enemy. #3 When we are offended, we fall into one of two categories: those who have been treated unjustly and those who believe they have been treated unjustly. The latter category is made up of people who have been wronged, but their understanding is darkened because their assumptions are inaccurate or their information is accurate but their conclusion is distorted. #4 The enemy keeps you in an offended state by keeping the offense hidden, cloaked with pride. Pride keeps you from admitting your true condition. It distorts your vision. You never change when you believe everything is fine.
