The brothers began squabbling. Franklin realized his brother would not dare to reveal what he had done, so he took advantage of the situation and asserted his freedom. #4 Franklin's situation with his brother had become unbearable, and his standing in the Puritan-dominated community of Boston was little better. Since Franklin had become a little obnoxious to the governing Party, he decided to leave Boston.
