The first story in Henley Montrose's Trilogy, Sunset & Montrose sets the stage for New Deadwood, the rebirth of the old western town and its paranormal inhabitants within Los Angeles. In the 1870s, she was a singing saloon star in the old west known as Jane Goodman, a former slave who won her freedom with blood after the civil war. There she met her fate and was born into a second eternal life in the tiny rooms of a Deadwood Brothel by the hands of the First Incubus, Percival.

Preparing to take the world on yet again, she has created a new life and persona, all which threatens to come crashing down by the arrival of a dark entity in town that kills those nearest and dearest to her heart. When a young police detective zeroes in on Henley, can she keep him off her trail while keeping him out of danger?

She mentors a young woman named Giselle Carabba who has dreams of finally finding success in Hollywood, if it wasn't for the pesky little fact that she might have accidentally been eternally cursed by a dying witch. When Giselle becomes the target of the dark entity, Henley has to go through hell to keep her safe from harm.

Not to mention that the man she loves won't leave her alone, despite the fact that he's been dead for a hundred years.
