Four years ago, a bullet in the thigh destroyed Alexander Hinkel's chances of becoming a police captain. But that didn't do anything to his ability to see through a suspect's lies. All the clues indicate that he did indeed murder his friend out of revenge for him having stolen his fiancée. Hinkel also doesn't like it at all that Janke is so involved in the case. He likes it even less that Cut Everson's story sounds so much like his own...
