Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were german folklorists who lived in the 18th-19th centuries. They are mostly famous for collecting and publishing fairy-tales. Nowadays it's hard to find a person who hasn't heard about Cinderella, Rapunzel or Snow White!
This fairy-tale tells us about a witch who has got a daughter that she loves and a stepdaughter that she hates. One day the witch decides to get rid of the poor girl by killing her. She tells her daughter that this is about to be done during their sleep. But our girl happens to hear the conversation. She is frightened but when the night comes down she manages to avoid the death, and the witch kills her own daughter instead. The girl escapes with her beloved man Roland and they become chased by the witch. Does this story have a happy-end? Read it and you will know!
