Melcorka, a brave warrior, is confronted by the Blue Boar of Alba, a formidable foe. She is urged by Mackintosh to use her magic to protect her, but she is determined to survive. The Alban army, led by Cameron and Chattan, marches forward, chanting "Alba Gu Brath!" and announcing their victory. Melcorka, fearing she will die, jumps into the air and slashes down on the Norse shields. The battle is filled with blood and rage, as the Norse warriors stab and kill vulnerable men. The Fidach soldiers press against the Norse lines, while the Shaws, the farmers she had posted, are attacked by the berserkers. Despite the Norse's bravery, the Shaws are defeated by Douglas and his Border riders. The Norse counterattack, but the Shaws are unable to hold off the berserkers. Melcorka, fearing she will die, hurries forward, aiming for the last of Cenel Bearnas. The battle is a testament to the resilience and strength of the warriors.
