THE DANCE AND SONG OF THE KORRED

Thomas Keightley (17891872) was an Irish writer mostly famous for his works on folklore and    mythology. His most notable works are Fairy Mythology (1850), and Mythology of Ancient Greece and Italy, a work on Popular Tales and their transmission from one country to another. Among other works he is also knows for his historical works and studies, like Lardner's Cabinet Cyclopædia (1829)
The Dance and Song of the Korred is an analysis of a Celtic folklore tale, collected by Thomas Keinghtley.  This work is devoted to Korrigan, or Korred, a Breton dwarf-alike spirit, and other species of mythological creatures, their habitat, way of life, and other specifics. Along with other Keightley's works, this is a must read for every one interested in structure of mythology and folklore, in way how myths and legends are formed and shifted throughout history and geography.
