TRAUMA, SUCCESS,THEN LOVE

A child of former residential school parents Leanne Trudeau leaves the Reserve to complete secondary school and college graduating with degrees in journalism and business administration. Attending Reserve social activities on weekends she becomes romantically involved with a police officer training reserve community police recruits. An unplanned pregnancy leads to marrying the officer then moving for their son to obtain a private school education.

Turning unreasonably jealous and unfairly suspicious of Leanne's work activities the police officer demands leaving her job with a major media corporation to become a stay-at-home mother. Becoming domineering while at the same time practicing unfaithfulness to their marriage the policeman is killed by a jealous husband during a romantic rendezvous with a fellow female police officer.

Leanne reconciles with former media contacts leading to a successful leadership role with her previous employer while unexpectedly resuming a friendship with successful author Nick Fairburn . Assisting Fairburn for decades with research for his writing and author research from a time prior to marrying the polce officer the revved friendship developes into a love affair .

Marriage results in her son Trevor and Fairburn's flight attendant daughter Jennifer developing a relationship. The siibling couple's relationship problems eventually become a major issue for the parents leading to a family crisis.

Rising to executive manager of a newly formed media giant and positioning to become corporate president Leanne faces an attempt on her life by a powerful political group intent on having their own candidate become media president. After marrying Nick hise international intelligence career involvement is instrumental in obstructing and ultimately destroying the organization trying to murder Leanne..

Following separate career paths Leanne becomes the motivating force behind amalgamation of media in both North America and Europe while Nick retains involvement in international diplomacy and intelligence communities eventually drawn into personally supporting Leanne's media endeavour.

The dual careers create a series of situations testing the limits of their individual devotion to the marriage while Nick is faced with former relationship dilemmas threatening his loyalty to Leanne.
