Jade Swann used to be infatuated with Jacob Campbell -- the son of her mother's best friend. But an incident from ten years ago makes her decide to keep her distance from him for good, until her failed abduction brings them together once again.

After being buried alive, Jacob Campbell vows to find the people responsible for his close encounter with death. As he tries to get in touch with his family after over a year of absence, he also gets reacquainted with Jade Swann -- his old friend who used to be infatuated with him. It's been ten years since he has last seen her. And when he discovers that Jade's life is also in danger, he suddenly feels the need to protect her, yet not as an old friend, but as a man who will lay down his life in order to keep the woman he loves out of harm's way.
