Buzz Sawyer was considered one of the most athletically gifted wrestlers to campaign in the 1980s. Opinions vary on the man as most of the wrestlers who worked with him did not have a flattering assessment of his personality or character. All would concede, however, that he was a genuine bad ass in an era of tough guys. What was undeniable was his charisma and ability to entertain in one of wrestling's Golden eras. Buzz Sawyer would be one of the most popular wrestlers on the Georgia circuit whose time was cut short by alcoholism and drug use.
