This book is a sequel to « The Girl, The Sorcerer and The Lost Guy, » the first volume of the Celestial Empire trilogy.

Two years have passed since the events that began with the fall of EterMar, the Eternal and Marvelous Celestial City. During these two years, life has proceeded, more or less peacefully.

However, the warning signs are already there, reminding us that often, calm only precedes the storm; that we are, in the end, merely in the eye of a giant cyclone, and soon, the winds will sweep everything away once again.

The Grand Mage learns, almost by chance, that strange occurrences are unfolding in Southernland, the southern province of the Empire. He sees this as a possible resurgence of the dark forces of the Order; this secret and powerful organization which he despises intensely.

Is this due to justified mistrust? Or rather to an almost paranoid compulsion? Regardless, he grabs his wizard's hat and a carry-on bag and immediately goes to investigate on site. It is always necessary to be certain. Minaud, of course, accompanies him on this adventure.
