A story is only as good as the storyteller, so be glad, my friend, that you are in good hands. This is the story of Elbereth, a land where the magic of the 13 Towers rules. We have the farmer Roras, a simple young man who enjoys the finer things in life: a good ale and a piece of any young mercenary who travels through his town. We also have Deis, an exiled prince who thinks he understands how Elbereth is run, which, my dear, he most certainly does not.

Historians will say that the future changed at the singular moment of their first kiss. Truly, those historians are idiots. No, the truth is that history changed the first time they killed together.

Learn from me about Elbereth, where each Tower controls a different piece of magic. The Conservatory controls sound. The Alms is for healing. The Citadel and its soldiers can summon the elements of earth, wind, fire, and water. With the Citadel intent on killing Deis, the two young men must make a perilous journey where their only goal can be survival.
