If I could select a country to sneak into right now, amongst a total of 197 officially recognized countries, my choice would probably lead towards Russia. I know what you are about to ask me; No, I am not a spy working for her majesty, although let's suppose for one minute I was, I would have to keep it a well-guarded secret.

Yes, I do like Russia, but why? Surely Barbados or Saint Tropez would be more fun to visit? Who would honestly spend time exploring a vast and inhospitable countryside, where every invading army ended up frozen, and millions of human beings nearly died of hunger after sharing their last slice of bread? Would it be for its turbulent past or massive post-communist architecture?

No, I like this country for its people, physically and emotionally challenged on a daily basis. Strong hearted individuals, warming up their bodies and souls with cheap Vodka to survive long winter months, and trying to escape self-imposed political regulations. This strange mixture has always filled my soul with an overwhelming admiration.

In this context, it is easy to understand that love and passion can have a different meaning from the one we are used to, in our western spoiled modern societies. Melancholy and insecurity can easily turn into something beautiful there, creating one of the most explosive concoctions of feelings in the world. Don't we all dream of a romantic story, in which a beautiful Russian princess is rescued from tyranny, boredom or loneliness?

Russia offers this chance, at least this is what Quentin, our main character in this book, believed and was willing to try. Will he learn in the process that human beings are not necessarily who they pretend to be?

Each love story is different. In this book, I have tried again to translate intricate feelings into words. Needless to say, that I can only trigger an emotion and keep your attention, if you have already agreed that it should somewhat resonate within your heart.

Don't we all remember sending a message to a loved one, only to realize how crazy it possibly was? Maybe in order to fall in love, you will have to be prepared to 'make a fool of yourself' and accept to reveal hidden aspects of your personality.

It would be true to say that this book has a strong sensual and 'fetish' connotation, taking us a step closer to our subconscious minds.

Like a child fascinated by hungry dinosaurs, a teenager watching 'Jaws' numerous times on Television, or passengers on the Titanic facing an unexpected tragedy, this story will take you to an unforeseen voyage.

Everybody has little secrets. I haven't decided to write novels in order to blend with an already existing style. I do this, and God only knows how hard it is sometimes, because our feelings are like a journey, a valley of emotions where new seeds can flourish, and to share these discoveries with you, like a photograph coming back with beautiful surreal images.

Will Quentin find love in Moscow?

Let's find out right now!
