Young Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy is a pug looking for not only a home but also someone to love. He places an ad in the Doggie Times and hopes to soon find his perfect companion. One day, a woman comes to visit Mr. Darcy, and he is pleased that she is kind and also smells of butter cookies. It's a perfect match, so he names her My Lady.

Back at My Lady's house, Mr. Darcy is in for a surprise! He's not the only one living there. He must share the space with Miss Kitty Bennett, who is not pleased to see him. At first, they don't get along at all. Over time, they come to an agreement and decide to share My Lady, who is just as perfect as Mr. Darcy dreamed.
