The ancient anarchist is a political drama which takes place eleven-thousand years ago and is set in the hunter-gatherer era. It revolves around an unconventional tribesman who is upset with his tribe over some of its age-old traditions.
He - with his two friends - tries to change the attitude of his fellow tribesmen through an unprecedented social revolution in the history of that tribe. The story takes us through the course of their revolution and the various challenges that they face. It explores different aspects of tribal life at that point in history like the way a tribe organised itself, how it tried to ensure the contribution of every member and also their obedience. The story is an attempt to rebuild a society that could have existed eleven-thousand years ago - in one's imagination, and draw parallels with contemporary societies.
The story - although written in the third person's point of view - is told subjectively in the protagonist's perspective and shows us how he perceives the behaviours of his community members. It begins with how the revolution sparks and then goes through its course, its ups and downs and then ends with an intense showdown. The ancient anarchist is the story of an outsider among a herd.
