Lucy is a writer but she can't write what she doesn't know. In an attempt to combat this issue, her editor brings in an old friend, an ex-soldier called Robert. Lucy finds Robert rude and annoying, Robert finds Lucy scatter-brained and ridiculous, but both find the other incredibly attractive however and keep being drawn to one another.
Determined to keep their contact to a minimum though they create an arrangement that gets Lucy want she needs; information. It isn't long before their plan breaks down and they are forced to look into other options. Shut away in a small Welsh cottage in the middle of winter will they be forced to sort out their feelings and finally give in to the spark between them?
