Many years ago, a young man traveled to the jungles of Amazonia, in a center of Plant Medicine called the Boiling River, to study next to a great shaman the healing powers of Ayahuasca. The experience was illuminating and cathartic but deeply painful as he came face to face with a trauma he had spent most of his life running away from. On his last day at the center, he had a final ceremony. Before it started, he set an intention as setting one is what one does at the start of every ceremony. Although he knew that Ayahuasca would never hurt him, he thought he would die with the intention he set. He took a pen and paper, sat by the hot spring, and as the creatures of the jungle were about to welcome the night, he wrote a letter destined to his parents.
