Born in Torquay in 1890, Agatha Christie is best known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections. This book is a set of two best novels by Agatha Christie - The Mysterious Affair at Styles (Book 1) and The Secret Adversary (Book 2). The Mysterious Affair at Styles was Agatha Christie's firstever mystery novel to be published. It was written in 1916, during the middle of the First World War. The book marked the beginning of Hercule Poirot journey, on course to become one of the most famous and successful detective series after Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic series of Sherlock Holmes. The Secret Adversary was the second published detective fiction novel by Agatha Christie, first published in January 1922 in the United Kingdom by The Bodley Head and in the United States by Dodd, Mead and Company later in that same year.
