The Broken Wire

When April Matson takes a long, needed break at her Aunt Jesse's beach home in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, she hopes to regain some semblance of control in her life, having just separated from her abusive, narcissist, husband, Kevin. Instead, events continue to cascade around her. Back home in Columbia, South Carolina, Kevin persists in making her life as difficult as possible, but thanks to her mom Joy's interventions, and a new romantic interest, April begins to see light at the end of the tunnel.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to anyone, an undocumented painting by an Impressionist master sits concealed behind another painting. The painting has made its way from unseemly beginnings in a chaotic 1871 Paris, through to Nazi Germany, then on to America. Fate intervenes and drops a bombshell in April's lap. As she tries to balance new found fame with her budding romance, April is left with two momentous decisions that will determine the course of the rest of her life.
The Broken Wire is a story of intrigue, passion, courage, and determination. As April deals with one drama after another, she slowly climbs from the bottom of the pit of her failed marriage, to the heights of fame and fortune she could never have imagined.
