Included in this comprehensive Peter Pan anthology are the following classics:

• Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, first published in 1906, is an origin story wherein the infant Peter flies away from his home, takes up residence in Kensington Gardens, and befriends the fairies. This story was originally published as a "book-within-a-book" in Barrie's The Little White Bird, first published in 1902 (also included).
• Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, written as a play in 1904, introduces the classic Peter story where he brings Wendy and her brothers to Neverland and has a showdown with his nemesis, Captain Hook. Barrie later adapted this play as a novel. When Wendy Grew Up An Afterthought (1908) is Barrie's sequel play to the original Peter Pan story.
• Peter and Wendy is a novel first published in 1911 that Barrie adapted from the 1904 play and later republished as Peter Pan and Wendy. This novel also incorporates events of Barrie's sequel Peter Pan play, When Wendy Grew Up An Afterthought.
• Also included are Barrie's speech Captain Hook at Eton (1923) and The Story of Peter Pan (1927) a retelling of Peter's adventures by Daniel O'Connor.
