The Devil's Pool was written in 1846 by George Sand(real name was Amandine Aurore Lucile Dupin). She became famous for her romances and social novels. This is a story about Germain and Marie - ordinary village dwellers who possessed spiritual and human values: kindness,honesty, sincerity and unselfishness. The road of offenders. The road that turns from the main street at the beggining of village. It runs along behind the village. People who are afraid to get abuse which they deserve often go this way to be inconspicuous. George Sand tells us about human qualities, that are still remaining due to village dwellers in such rude conditions of the life.
