A crime boss's minions are hunting Damian for repayment of past debts. Just when the Stargazer crew needs a solution, an old friend returns with a golden opportunity. Liat has come and gone more times than anyone on the Stargazer can count, and now he's back from who-knows-where with shocking news: a clue to find a legendary treasure ship lost centuries ago, long thought destroyed in the void of hyperspace, if it existed at all. Liat is convinced it's real, and that it still survives. If he's right, the Stargazer would have enough money to pay Damian's debts and still be richer than they ever thought possible. Can Liat lead them to the emperor's lost treasure, or does something else await them in the darkness of space?
