In The Excellent Drug the reader is taken through one of the most lucrative drug markets of the world on the Cape Flats. With a corrupt police service, tainted politicians, eighty percent unemployment rate and a crime friendly justice system, the gangs are making money like there is no tomorrow. Then a new drug is developed by a local scientist. The new drug is called Whisperz and from that point onwards organized crime can do nothing else but grow and become more powerful. This new drug goes through the Western Cape like a fire-storm, destroying everything in his path. It destroys communities and the normal way of life like nothing else did before.
But hidden in all the crime, corruption and incompetence, there is still some decency. And that bit of decency had decided it was time to fight back. For the first time since its inception, organized crime is being challenged now.
