The plan was simple. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. With Haden playing both sides, Rebecca hadn't had any issues convincing Haden to come work with her at The Flower Shop.

Today, Haden Prescott would be the new flower girl on the block, making it that much easier for Rebecca to keep a close watch on her and uncover what she was up to.

After which, she'd expose Haden to Brett for the fake and liar she was, and everything would be right in the world of Rebecca and Brett

The problem with hearts is that they fall too hard, too fast, and break too easily. Which is what would happen with hers should she keep falling for Brett, and he decided he'd rather have Rebecca or Alexis.

No one had ever affected her the way Brett Danforth could and did. She felt an overwhelming flow of jealousy at the thought of him being with anyone except her. Especially auburn-haired, porcelain skinned, green-eyed, Rebecca Newton.

If there was a way to get and keep Rebecca out of the picture, Haden would find it. With her indisposed, Brett's attention would be focused on her and her alone.
