The Foundry

These are the memoirs of William John Davies, from his time as a child when a dark and evil entity toyed with the lives of his friends and their families, to the present where an alien entity is cleansing the Earth of humanity and all of its excesses.

Between these two events, Davies recounts his time working in a Foundry that housed its own evil secrets, but where he forged a remarkable friendship. He speaks of his time in Vietnam where he learned much about himself, his sexuality, the extremes of human nature and his wanderlust after the war.

Davies still carries a part of the Darkness that almost killed him as a child. He calls it his Dark Passenger and his life has been constantly influenced by it. Yet, despite this, he has lived an astonishing life, seeking the best when it seemed only the worst existed.

Davies knows now that life is the real Foundry which forges our individuality and he has witnessed the best and the worst of it. The emotional baggage he carries is a heavy burden and he can only hope that their is some solace in having done his best. He is prepared for death; has been most of his life but has cheated it on many occasions. Can he beat the odds once more?

Staying alive is out of his hands now. The alien entity will have the final say.
