Gwendolen, daughter of the sage of Genthor, becomes aware a new darkness has fallen upon her land, a place of brilliant dreams and sacred ritual. An intruder from another dimension seeks to destroy it all.

Training in the art of the Esoteric, she is learning the deep and powerful mysteries, ancient magic borne out of Genthor's origins. It must all be protected.

Against the threat and her own intense fear, Gwendolen knows she must enter the energy that lies in the stranger's mind and heart, and it is she, terrified as she feels, who must find a way to stop him.

Help comes to her through Ga Fael Fawr, gatekeeper of the virtual, enchanted world of Aginmare, who gives Gwendolen a sword of light and magic.

What she knows most of all in her heart is that she cannot fail her world and those she loves. That which is precious must not be destroyed.
