A boy, and a girl with a big secret who moves in next door with her creepy uncle, receive supernatural help from an elderly resident of the local senior citizen' home as they fend off bullies, dealers and rednecks in their tough neighborhood.
This story has a high-sequel potential, with special interest to youthful audiences who will grow up with each step in the franchise. It is a classic campfire horror tale, and more Stephen King than slice 'n dice. However, despite the heart-warming, coming-of-age element central to the mixed-race youths in the story, it is not intended for very young children. (Meaning: When the little old witch does her witchy thing, it might scare children away from their grandmother!)
