Edfrid A. Bingham was was born Erfout Albertus Bingham, December 17, 1870, Oak Hill, OH, and died May 2, 1930, New York City. Bingham was a prolific screenwriter in the final ten years of the silent era, best known for his adaptations of the Zane Grey novels, "Riders of the Purple Sage," and "The Call of the Canyon."
