The Heaven God Loves Eating Sugarcane? is the fourth book in the SINGAPO: Discovering Chinese Singaporean Culture series. It tells the tales and traditions devoted to the Heaven God. On the ninth day of the first lunar month, a little boy and his family were spring cleaning and preparing offerings in celebration of the Heaven God's birthday, also known as "Bai Tian Gong," which literally means "praying to the Heaven God." The little boy was intrigued by the one of the offerings, sugarcane, and thought that the Heaven God likes to eat sugarcane. This puzzled him. His father noticed this and took the chance to tell him about the tales and traditions of the Heaven God's birthday.
