A look at the life of Rudolph Valentino as he arrives in New York City at the age of 18 years. It follows his search for a place to live after he meets two Argentian men. They decide to share a room and all the excitement three men can experience on very little money. They work hard and have adventures, Rudolph knows how to dance and perfects his tango skills dancing in restaurants, dance halls and night clubs. He meets women, some of whom are enchanted by him: he connects with a group of Italian immigrants living in the borough of Queens. He joins a group of dancers and actors and leaves for California after a sad good-by to his roommates. Life in California is a wonder for him and his fame from acting in movies changes his life. He is the pearl in the oyster of his life but sadness and tragedy overtake him. This story is a homage to him and the young Italian girl he meets.
