Neither Jackelen nor Ron ever expected to find love again. Divorced and in their late fifties, they assumed all older people were either married or too set in their ways to start a new life. But despite their age, and the fact they were from completely different backgrounds, they embraced each other's lifestyles and blended seamlessly. Then Ron died, leaving Jackelen to tell this poignant story of late-life to others who may think they're too old to open their heart again. Author Biography A native of California whose family history there dates back to 1845, Jackelen Boyer's parents encouraged her education, pursuit of her dreams, and to take pride in her heritage. Learning became a constant way of life and even though she had already earned her degrees and was working as a Home Economics teacher, in 1982, she left teaching to start a clothing design business. Falling in love with Ron was totally unexpected, and gave her new joy, which has resulted in this book. Jackelen still sells jewelry on eBay, does charity work, helps with her two grandsons and travels, learning new skills and encouraging others along the way.
