Treasure fever has hit Winkelfuss! A recently discovered map alleges that many years earlier, Cap'n Gnawface the Meanie buried her loot somewhere on the island, but anyone tries to find it will be cursed by pirate ghosts. A "golden smudge" will appear on the cursedand then the treasure-seeker will be ghost-napped!

Certain it's just a silly story, the greedy residents go after the booty, but then they start waking up with the golden smudge . . . and mysteriously disappearing! Luckily, Paz is the one island resident who doesn't care about the treasure, and she's on the case!
