Lin is a young woman living in the town of Lei-Xin. It has been 10 years since her father professor Ming disappeared when a mysterious notebook comes into her possession. Not only does it contain his final research, which has supposedly led him into another world, it also revealed his belief that Lin's mother, Hikari, might still be alive. This shocking event sets a chain of adventures in motion which brings Lin, in search of her father, through a celestial portal and into another universe.
Beyond the portal Lin finds herself in the province of Hua where animals can talk, endless flower-fields colour the lands and spirits of nature can be seen at night. But as idyllic as it may seem, this magical world holds a dark secret which is threatening to corrupt and destroy all in its path. In an attempt to tip the scales in the epic conflict between primordial light and darkness, Hua, the ruler of the province devises a plan. The story follows Lin as she ventures forth on a mission which will bring her on the path towards the fate of her father and that of this extraordinary universe itself.
In Hua's Hope Eastern and Greek mythology, thrilling adventures, spiritual themes, meditation and the richness of the natural world all come together in one epic tale. It is both a voyage of discovery into the history, spirituality, cultures and natural beauty of a uniquely crafted world and the story of a young woman's bravery against impossible odds and insecurities. Hua's Hope is the first volume of 'The Legend of the Moon and Sun' series.
