The Letter Sweater

Sandra Mercer moves back to her childhood home hoping to seek refuge from a bitter divorce and to conceal the painful secret of her breast cancer surgery. She is stunned to find her youngest daughter, Carla Mercer, wearing the same letter sweater she wore when she was in high school, a gift from Carla's boyfriend, Kevin Dawson. The sweater originally belonged to Kevin's uncle, Jack Dawson, Sandra's high school and college sweetheart, whom she jilted thirty-two years before. Sandra discovers that Jack, a retired TV personality, has returned home to write a book. She must now decide if she wants to deal with a love that has never died and a regret that has shadowed her for a lifetime. The Letter Sweater is Sandra's story as she is transformed from a person with an enormous amount of guilt and pain to a person full of love and hope.
