George Webbe Dasent (1817-1896) was a folklorist and translator of legends and fairy-tales into English. Dasent was acquainted with Jacob Grimm who advised him to study mythology. Eventually George Dasent became a professor of English literature.
This story tells us about a Smith who has made a deal with the devil. He wanted to be the best one in his craft, to be 'the master of the masters'. He has been granted that but only of seven years, and after that his soul can be taken by the devil. And one day Lord came to the house of this Smith
