THE MOMENT I KISSED YOU has been a lifelong endeavor, shaped by the legacy of unions within my family, spanning generations from my dad and uncles to my husband and brothers. Their stories of strikes, the Great Depression, and the vital role unions played in creating the middle class were the backdrop of my upbringing.

Now, as history echoes itself, I find myself living just a short drive from Cripple Creek and Victor, once thriving but now ramshackle towns with a rich history of gold mining and labor disputes. Inspired by this, after having set my historical romance series, KNIGHTS OF ENGLAND, as well as my first two time travel novels, BEFORE I WAKE and ETERNAL BELOVED, in fourteenth-century England, I realized that the nineteenth-century Cripple Creek-Victor region holds its own captivating, heart-wrenching tales waiting to be told. It was the perfect backdrop for my third time travel romance.

Beyond this work, I am the author of the six-book Knights of England historical romance series and 'The Landlord's Black-Eyed Daughter,' a novel based on Alfred Noyes' beloved poem 'The Highwayman,' published under the pseudonym Mary Ellen Dennis.

When I'm not immersed in writing, I cherish moments with my children, grandchildren, and my faithful companion Karma the Wonder Dog, my German Shepherd, who has been a source of comfort and adventure throughout many of life's trials, including my battle with COVID.
