The Mystery in Alligator Alley

Avery and Evan visit the National Wildlife Refugehome to HUMONGOUS ALLIGATORS!"stacked like cordwood!" When the kids overhear rumors of "gator poaching," they are determined to help find the culprits. "We gotta protect wildlife!" Clues set in motion a wild adventure filled with science, high-tech gear, and fun! "This is a mystery you can really sink your TEETH into!"

The Mystery in Alligator Alley is set at the National Wildlife Refuge on the Georgia/South Carolina border, just outside Savannah.  The author, Carole Marsh and her husband, actually live nearby and have seen "gators stacked like cordwood!"  The mystery involves possible alligator poaching and the characters learn about habitats, conservation, endangered species, and other wildlife issues, while enjoying a rip-roaring romp through some incredible lowcountry locales.

This mystery is geared for boys and girls ages 7-14 and features bother and sister, Avery and Evan, who help their mystery book writer grandmother solve wildlife related mysteries. The Wildlife Mystery series has a strong focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

This mystery incorporates history, geography, culture and cliffhanger chapters that keep kids begging for more! The Wildlife Mysteries will have an assigned Accelerated Reader reading levels, points and quiz numbers, Lexile Measures, Fountas & Pinnell level and a Developmental Reading Assessment.
