The Nevermore Files

The Nevermore Files is a collection of 10 different short stories that each take place inside of the same universe. This is a mystery/thriller collection.

• The Never-Ending Staircase: Chris decides today is the day to venture down to the basement! Unfortunately, something goes wrong when he realizes the staircase is never-ending.
• The Eyes Outside: A man returns from a work trip to find a gargoyle standing on his lawn.
• I Saw Something in my kitchen last night. Now I need Answers: A man feels like he is going crazy when he wakes up to find a monster in his kitchen.
• I heard something in the woods last Friday: Part One and Two: Kelsey learns about a dangerous creature living outside her cabin. Now she must hunt for answers before anyone dies.
• The Doorbell: Kelsey was moved from her home at a young age. She doesn't remember much from before her family moved. One week, her family leaves and doesn't come back for days. Already on edge, Kelsey hears the doorbell go off multiple times. The story On the Run takes place directly after The Doorbell.
• My dad is not who he says he is. I broke into his office and found his secrets: After having a rough day at work, Carly's mother warns her to stay in her room. After listening to her mother's warning, Carly notices that the whole house is acting strange.
• We explored an abandoned house down the street. I am the only one who came back: Three friends explore an abandoned house in a small town. Only one of those friends makes it home.
• I am Richard C. Hathorn, the last surviving worker involved in Project Merge. I need to tell my story before it's too late: Richard shares the details of Project Merge with the hopes that one day it will help somebody.
