Amanda kept to her word Monday and shocked everyone in the office. I got to work 15 minutes early, its a military thing, showing up later than that just doesn't feel right. Everyone in the office, save a few, were in the breakroom chatting about their weekend and making their morning coffee and teas. Russ and I were talking about priorities for the week and planning out the day. Amanda comes into the break room, and she is not wearing her typical business attire of some kind of button up colored blouse and a matching knee-high skirt. She was wearing a beautiful white summer dress, adorned with roses and stems in the fabric pattern, and a pair of off dark red high heels, causing her steps to click as she entered into the break room. She picked me out of the group and her face lit up with a smile that brightened the whole room.
